I was super excited to be awarded a recognition of merit in the most recent NAPCP international photo competition.

It is always a huge honour. Especially when I see the talent of the other winners. Take a look here, it’s pretty incredible!

I love photo competitions because I always learn so much by viewing the other images and reading the critiques from the judges about mine. Every chance I have to learn is great!

There is something that I have promised myself to do more of lately. Take more pictures. Especially with my kids and their grandparents. As I was sorting through family photos recently I realized that I did not have enough pictures of my kids with their grandparents.

Grandparents are so special and I want my kids to always remember the good times that they have spent with them. I intend on doing grandparent sessions with my kids and their grandparents. They are a natural extension of family photography.

The other night “Papa” stopped by with a punching bag and some gloves. The boys were eager to line up and take a turn. It was really cute watching them listen to the advice that Papa had to give. I ran inside and grabbed my camera. I didn’t care that the porch light was on and that the garage was open for all to see. Sometimes what matters most is actually capturing the memories as they happen.

Make sure to celebrate and document the important people in your life!

This is one of my favourite families ever! I was so thrilled when they asked me to capture their newborn baby Delia.

We first met when I photographed their engagement session many years ago. Next came their wedding HERE. We always have such a great time together and connect so well. A very important part in creating beautiful imagery if you ask me.

This baby was the pinnacle of perfection!

It was so wonderful doing a photo session for this gorgeous baby girl. She is so lucky to have such amazing parents and a loving home to grow up in.

I had so much fun with this beautiful Canmore family!

The little boys had so much fun playing with each other and their parents couldn’t have been sweeter.

We took pictures inside and outside with the gorgeous Rocky Mountains as our backdrop.

I love my job!
