Feb 03: January 365 jewelimage photography

1 Sparkly Comment

It’s hard to believe that January is already over! We are definitely into the swing of 2014.

The images below are a little snapshot of my January. I am so glad that my friend challenged me to do a picture a day for the entire year! With my “big girl” camera if at all possible.

Some of the images below are taken with my iPhone camera but for the most part, I tried to haul out my professional one. I wasn’t fully committed at the beginning of the month so had to use what I had! And, at the end of the day a picture is still a picture. That is what helps us remember right?

The challenge I had with this is that my kids are currently leaving for school and coming home at the end of the day in the dark! I am noticing now that the days are getting a little longer but I can’t wait for Spring and our beautiful and bright evenings.

I have started taking my camera around with me everywhere I go for the most part. But truthfully, my life doesn’t reach too far outside of basketball games and church. Finding the little moments in the day outside of these activities is going to be what pushes me to capture and enjoy the details of our days a little bit more.

I am really looking forward to continuing on with this 365 challenge. Having these images of my family is going to be priceless. I am also challenging myself to be in at least one photo a  month. I want my kids to remember that I was there too!

Oh Julie, I love these photos! You are still talented as ever! Your boys have grown so much, how fun for me to see. Thank you for sharing.
